VRI Joint-Stock Company
But after all, what is a Joint-Stock Company?
Corporation is a type of company whose capital is divided into shares. In this society, the liability of each shareholder is limited to the capital of its shares.
A corporation is made up of a board of directors, a board of directors, a fiscal council and a general meeting made up of shareholders.
There are 2 types of SA, publicly traded or privately held. A publicly traded company may have its shares traded on the Stock Exchange, and a closely held company may not have its shares publicly offered.
With this change, VRI is no longer a company strictly linked to a certain person and becomes a capital company, with professional management, thus guaranteeing its perpetuity.
Now, decision-making will be made by the Board of Directors, which is done through an assembly, or meeting, which will meet periodically to define the future of the company, making the decision-making process more democratic and representative.
Advantages of being a joint-stock company:
– Sharing of responsibilities;
– Reduction of financial risks;
– Safety for employees, customers and suppliers;
– Division of decision-making;
– Combination of different competences;
– Professionalization of the business;
– Business transparency and reliability.
These changes aim to provide more confidence and stability, due to its new corporate structure, as they are part of an ongoing process, which we have been doing for at least 2 years, following the programming of our ESG agenda.
The ESG agenda is an ongoing process of strategic review of the business. As part of this Agenda, VRI has already made some changes, such as the adoption of renewable energy starting in 2020, the use of the General Data Protection Law adopted in 2021, in addition to social programs such as its social inclusion, support for diversity and labor relations and the manufacture of sustainable products.
All these changes aim to increase your trust in our company, in addition to showing our commitment to the most current issues in relation to the environment and sustainability.
We are Next Gen. We are VRI.
